The newly appointed Dean, Associate Prof. Dr. Jamaluddin Abdullah delivers his first 2019 HOD's mandate to the Staff of the School of Mechanical Engineering on 22nd January in which he outlines the adopted strategies to align the School's direction to meet University’s mission. Among others, he urged the academic and non-academic staff to focus on making programmes offered by the School to become one of the preferred academic programmes in USM by design. He believed that this could be achieved by enhancing teaching quality that is engaging and meaningful so that it will improve the student learning experience. He also hopes that the School could continue improving its research culture, strengthening collaboration with strategic industry and institutional partners and would encourage staff to foster a positive working environment and culture in the School.
