Industrial Visit to Dindings Tyson Sdn. Bhd. (MFM Group)

On 4th June 2025, a total of 40 students from the School of Mechanical Engineering and the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, accompanied by 4 lecturers, participated in an enriching industrial visit to Dindings Tyson Sdn. Bhd., located at the Industrial Estate, Kampung Acheh, 32000 Sitiawan, Perak, Malaysia.

Organized by Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM), the visit commenced with a welcoming speech by top management, followed by a career talk and a detailed briefing on their poultry integration business. Prior to entering the production area, participants were given a safety briefing in line with industry standards.

During the tour, students observed the end-to-end chicken production and processing operations, which included insights into process control, product identification, machine vision technology, and storage systems. The experience provided students with valuable exposure to real-world food manufacturing, automation, and quality assurance processes.

This visit significantly enhanced the students’ understanding of industrial practices and offered them a glimpse into potential career paths within the poultry and food processing sector.
