
USM-MTS ISO 17025 SURVEILLANCE AUDIT 2025
On October 1, 2025, Surveillance Audit on USM Mechanical Testing Services (USM-MTS) has been conducted as part of the process to ensure that the conformity assessment body continues complies with the MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation criteria and requirements. The USM-MTS lab is lead by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yu Kok Hwa, assisted by Dr. Norwahida binti Yusoff (Technical Manager), Dr. Siti Sarah binti Kamaludin (Deputy Technical Manager), En. Roslan Bin Kamarudin (Quality Manager), and En. Muhamad Azman Miskam (Deputy Technical Manager).
The assessment team for surveillance audit comprised of lead assessor, Ts. Seri Banun Sujangi and technical assessor, Dr. Mary Teoh Geik Ling. The ISO/IEC 17025 surveillance audit is a periodic evaluation conducted by an accreditation body to ensure that a testing or calibration laboratory continues to comply with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.It is a process to verify on the compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements after accreditation.
