Postgraduate Poster Competition at Powering Your Innovation 2026 in conjunction with Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium 2026
KUALA LUMPUR, 20 May 2026 – Congratulations to Muhamad Syiham Muez Ramli for winning Third Place in the Postgraduate Poster Competition at Powering Your Innovation 2026, held in conjunction with the Asia Turbomachinery & Pump Symposium 2026 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
During the competition, he presented a research project entitled “ACT-IVE: AI-Controlled Thermal Intelligence for Variable Energy Biogas Combustion,” which focuses on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to address combustion instability issues and improve the efficiency of low-calorific raw biogas combustion systems.
The research was conducted under the supervision of Ir. Dr. Ahmad Fikri Mustaffa and represents an ongoing effort towards the development of smarter, more sustainable, and energy-efficient technologies, in line with current advancements in renewable energy and intelligent automation.
This achievement reflects the commitment of researchers and academic staff at the School of Mechanical Engineering in strengthening a culture of innovative research that supports the national energy transition agenda.
