The Mechanical Engineering Student's Society (Mechys) successfully organised MechDinner 2026 on 21 June 2026 at Bahang Bay Hotel, Penang, bringing together students and lecturers in a memorable evening to celebrate the graduating Class of 2022/23–2025/26.

The annual dinner served as a platform to honour the achievements, dedication, and contributions of graduating students throughout their academic journey at the School of Mechanical Engineering.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of several prestigious student awards, recognising excellence in various aspects of university life:
• Anugerah Kecemerlangan Teknologi & Inovasi – recognising students who demonstrated outstanding creativity and innovation in engineering and technology.
• Anugerah Kecemerlangan Akademik – presented to students with exceptional academic performance throughout their studies.
• Anugerah Kecemerlangan Kokurikulum – honouring students who made significant contributions and achievements in co-curricular activities.
• Anugerah Tokoh Sahsiah (Kepimpinan & Kerohanian) – recognising exemplary students who displayed outstanding leadership, integrity, character, and commitment to spiritual and community development.

The event featured a warm and vibrant atmosphere filled with dinner, entertainment, appreciation sessions, and memorable moments shared among friends and lecturers before the graduates embark on the next chapter of their professional careers.
